We decided at the last minute to do Mallory Park on the 9th April with the E.M.R.A race club and what a turn out of top class riders.
To name a few in our class Lee Wilson, Taylor Mckenzie, Richard cooper, Daniel Stamper, Curtis Wright and Luke Stapleford so we knew we had to be at the top of our game on the day if we were to compete in the top ten at a circuit we have not rode at for some three years.
Our reason for being there was to try a few Geometry and electrical changes to the ZX6-R’s, to get Ashley Milburn more time on dialling his changes in and to get Chris Helliwell out on a bike he has not rode for 7 months.
The weather could not be better other than the cool breeze, the grid could not be much more testing and we qualified 5th for Chris and 8th for Ashley in class in the Buildbase open returning a fantastic chris 4th race one and a fantastic 2nd race two, with Ashley a fantastic race one- 7th in class 9th overall, race two 8th in class 10th overall.
Supersport results for Chris race 1-2 returned 5th and 7th, with Ashley producing a well deserved 5th and 6th.
Top ten results on day that was a very hot and tough one, with two qualifies and 4 races around a track that does not give any rest bite and pushed them both physically.
Both Chris and Ashley worked very hard getting changes that work, and against a very tough field of riders brought home results that the Team were very proud of with the bonus Chris earning the second trophy this year against some very stiff competition.
We would like to thank the following sponsors for making it all possible :-
Rock Oil, Mupo Suspension, EBC Brakes, Pipewerx, Fenwicks Haulage, 1Jak, Hel Performance, Commercial Fleet Services, Ian Boldy Superbike Photography.
Roll on and we're all looking forward to SNETTERTON.
